Venue

Experience the real Singapore Makan scene at KEK Seafood, a chu-char kopitiam style restaurant featured on Netflix (Street Food: Asia, Episode 8, 14:49). This institutional establishment was the place Anthony Bourdain frequented - in fact, he would often have them cook at his home when he entertained. KEK seafood is also in the Michelin Guide as a recommended must-go, and many European Michelin Chefs eat here when they visit Singapore.

Marie is a world-famous sake, shochu and baijiu competition judge. She is a certified Educator for Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) and the Sake School of America, and holds a holds a Diploma with Distinction from Le Cordon Bleu. Marie teaches masterclasses, seminars, tastings and formal WSET courses all over the world and she has been on the judging committee of numerous wine and spirits competitions worldwide for the past 15 years.

How it will work

Due to COVID restrictions, each table will be limited to 8 and there will be strictly no intermingling between tables. Marie will be joining us virtually to take us through the beverage tastings. Please bring a device with an internet connection and headphones. We will be connecting several times throughout the evening to learn about the beverages and there will be plenty of 'unplugged' time to chat with your table.  ​Don't worry if you're not a big drinker - everyone will be given individual servings and anything you don't finish you can take home!
